the last pictures of may

OK, so i've failed my very first photochallenge. Maybe i was asking a bit much of myself. I only have pictures of the 26th, 28th and 29th of may. The 25th, 27th, 30th and 31st are missing. I allready missed one day earlier in may, so it's a five photo fail :(
Let's look at the bright side: i managed to take pictures for 26 days out of 31, while managing a day job, weekends away, and living on my own so not having any other living creatures around for inspiration or help.
Here's the remaining one for the 28th:

The others will follow soon, but Blogger is acting up again and doesn't want to upload anymore. I think i might have to switch to Wordpress or Typepad or something, cause Blogger is driving me crazy. I still haven't been able to register my Blackberry so i can post from my phone. Annoying!

Now all i've got to do is find a new challenge, and not set the bar so high this time. I need to ease into this. Suggestions?

I failed this challenge :(  Last saturday the 20th, i went to my cousin's wedding and didn't take a photo all day. I just forgot... Boo.
So here's the photo's from the 19th and the 21st. I haven't taken a photo yet today, but it'll be at least another 90 minutes before i go to sleep, so there's still time...

the first pics of may

I've been out of the country for a while. Me and my mother took a little trip to Liverpool, to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral. It was absolutely beautiful, and we had a lot of fun. We stayed in the Hard Days Night Hotel :)
I had no internet acces, so i haven't been able to post a picture everyday. But i took one everyday, and here they are for the last week:

a photo a day

When i started this blog, i said i was going to try to post a photo a day for the whole month of april. But due to all kinds of circumstances, i have postponed this till may. So for the whole month of may, i will be taking a snapshot a day. I will post them all, but i can't promise i will post everyday. I will probably post a few times a week, and upload multiple photo's at a time. For some reason unknown to me, i can't get my Blackberry registered with Blogger to post via my phone. And because i'm not always near my laptop, that makes posting everyday a little difficult.
But nevermind, i won't let unruly technostuff hold me back. So here's to a good photochallenge...

easter

This easter was absolutely fabulous. Lots of sunshine, bbq, lomography. Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-yous :)
On sunday we went for a 10k walk from 's-Hertogenbosch CS to Vught, and it was beautiful. Here are some pics of the day:

crafts and cooking

I've had three days off, and have spent them cleaning, cooking and doing crafts. (And i've spent some time on a café sidewalk, drinking white beer with lemon in the sunshine, but never mind that...)

I've made pickled vegetables: a mix and pickled cucumber. Also olive oil with basil. It looks and smells good, let's hope they'll taste good as well in a few weeks.

Only two of my handyworks i can show you, the other two are presents for two lucky ladies :) I've wanted a star and feather necklace for ages, but could never find the right one. So i just made one myself, and a single feather one as well.

One other thing i've made has to wait a little longer, it needs to be dark outside for it to be photographed. Pics will follow soon.

fake your pinhole!

Here's a great Photoshop tutorial for faking a pinhole effect. I tried this with a photo i took in Hassocks, Great Britain two years ago, and i love the result:

Of course you could always drill a tiny hole in a lenscap and start shooting, no Photoshop required.
